Neil Evans sees engaging youth in sports as an important part of building community and praises the volunteers that have worked so hard to make this happen.
“Team sports are one of the greatest things that a kid can be a part of. On a team, every player has a role. It instills an attitude of helping one another and working together. Kids learn a lot about how to succeed in life through sport.”
Neil is impressed with the “very comprehensive” master plan that encompasses facilities for multiple summer and winter sports. “You just can’t beat what they’re doing out there,” says the generous donor, adding “it’s world-class.”
The indoor training facility is especially intriguing to Neil because it will keep kids involved in sports year-round, which he considers significant given Saskatoon’s climate.
“Anything sports-oriented or team-oriented that helps youth, especially in that part of town, is pretty easy to pull out the cheque book,” Neil says of his continued support of the complex.
